I did a search for large files and deleted them - and then deleted them from the recycle bin. I also removed several unused programs and ran a defrag but still there is only about MB of free space. I know I'm going to need to repartition the drives but I don't know what program will work with Windows Server.

Can you offer a direct solution for this low space problem? To extend Windows Server partition is a good way to solve such kind of "Low disk space". Partition Wizard Server Edition, a powerful server partition software, performs both basic and advanced partition operations on your servers without data loss, including: Resize and Move partitions, Copy Partition, Copy Disk, Create and Delete partitions, Format partitions, Convert partitions, Explore partitions, Hide and Unhide partitions, set active partition, etc.

Changes can be previewed before applying to hard disk. You may wonder how to extend server partition with this program. The low disk space warning threshold could be quite intrusive. In most cases, the low disk warning bar starts popping up when your disk is running lower than MB. At that level, the warning bar is constantly in your face.

The good news is that you can configure the warning bar and disable it totally. However, the best way to go about this is to free up space or by extending your partition. Follow IM-Magic. The risks of having a low disk space on your computer abound. Here will provides you two ways to solve the problem both available for low disk space windows 7, low disk space windows 8 , and Windows 10 disk space warning.

You can see if your hard drive coming with low disk space, it will display a red bar in Windows Explorer. Here is C: drive. It will show you another window that you can choose the files to delete, so that you can free up more space for the drive. And here you can click More Options to free more disk space. Click Delete and it will execute the task.

For example, if your C: drive is running out of space, then, you can add unallocated space to system partition to make it bigger.

If there is no unallocated space on your hard drive, you can make system partition bigger by taking space of D: partition or other partitions. Windows built-in Disk Management can extend volume, but it has limitations. It needs an unallocated space at the right side of the low disk space partition and adjacent to the partition, otherwise, the Extend Volume will be grayed out.

If you want to extend partition more flexible, here you can use the great free partition manager AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard , which can help you extend partition in simple clicks.
