Followed the instructions supplied on CD to install on Vista. The installation Failed. Used normal method on Windows This worked.
Overall Review: I cannot recommend this product, given that the installation procedures provided are flawed. If the USB drivers get installed incorrectly, it's hard to remedy this. Cons: do not buy this. Pros: I have another one of these for a windows PC and it works for doing terminal type of work.
Except it had a bent shield on one of the connectors, so I could only use one. Cons: Apparantly useless on Leopard on the Mac. It comes with a mac driver, which dutifully installs and makes you reboot. Plug in the device and Package states it is compatible with Mac OS v Their website doesn't have a driver posted. I have emailed their support, but I don't have very high hopes.

Just plug into a USB port and the drivers automatically install - skip the drivers that came on the enclosed CD.

I Highly Recommend! Should work with Vista as well. Pros: Purchased this for a field laptop, on which the original serial port was damaged beyond repair. The serial port is needed for our field equipment, such as a tel logger, gps, etc. This adapter was easy to install and I was able to choose the com port, which is vital.
